17th International Conference on the Properties of Water and Steam in Prague on 2-7 September 2018

On behalf of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS) the Czech National Committee for the Properties of Water and Steam (CZ NC PWS) is organizing the 17th International Conference on the Properties of Water and Steam (17th ICPWS), taking place in Prague, Czech Republic, from Sunday to Friday 2 – 7 September 2018.

Held every four or five years, these conferences attract more than 200 delegates from different countries around the world, (28 at the 16th ICPWS). Keynote sessions by prestigious invited speakers will set the themes, followed by oral and poster sessions and workshops. Topics of symposia will cover a wide range including the thermophysical properties of water, ice, steam, and seawater, the physical chemistry of aqueous systems, power cycle chemistry, environmental processes, and academic/research/industrial requirements and solutions.

The conference venue is the Marriott Hotel, in the Old town of Prague. One of the oldest cities in Europe, beautiful Prague has inspired artists, musicians, and scientists for centuries. Prague is recognized as one of the top 10 event destinations worldwide. Attendance is open to educational institutions attendees and students with a reduced registration rate. Partial registration (e. g. Symposia or workshops only or plenary lectures) will also be available.
